Beautiful place, and lovely to visit, but the restricted area for dog walkers needs to be seriously revised because it doesn't seem to be used by anyone any more - and certainly not the kiddies whom it was intended for. Whenever I've been there - since this absurd idea was introduced - they're always playing in the main areas (where dogs are allowed too) whilst the restricted area lies unused and devoid of life - so sad when previously it was alive with happy dogs and their owners. It certainly wasn't a good day when some 'bright spark' had this idea.
Lovely place to walk. Plenty of parking. Dogs do need to be kept on a lead and the area on the left digs are not allowed.. Plenty of other places for you to go with them. There is a tea room inside the hall, a cafe and more recently a hot food/drinks van ( which is part of the cafe).
