Himley House Hotel

Stourbridge Road, Himley, Dudley DY3 4LD, UK – 01902 892468

Haven't actually stopped at this Hotel but had a meal. Looks a lovely place to stay. Food was 1st class.

restaurant is nicely set out, plenty of spaces , food is really good quality . hotel rooms need a little attention as some of the rooms don't have windows that open. on really warm days this makes the rooms stifling. facilities are of a good standard otherwise. mattresses are fine if you like a hard bed but I woke with a bad back on more than one occasion.. even premier inn has better mattresses.

Silverdale Hotel

60 Sedgley Rd, Tipton, Dudley DY4 8AD, UK – 0121 557 5050

Been here for two nights and we love the place.. Very reasonable prices and good service. Will definitely come here again.

Very welcoming and very clean. Perhaps they could investigate and remidiate the damp smell.

Himley House Hotel

Stourbridge Road, Himley, Dudley DY3 4LD, UK – 01902 892468

Food not particularly good or that hot. Menu ok but fairly expensive for ordinary food. Service a bit slow

Seems like a nice place, function rooms are a bit tight and when crowded it's hard to get in and out easily. Drinks are not cheap but it is a nice place for special occasions

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Crooked House

Himley Rd, COPPICE MILL, HIMLEY DY3 4DA, UK – 01384 238583

Had to wait 40 minutes for food . Restaurant only had 4 tables in (that included ours) We only had fast food for the kids and baguettes for the adults . Waitress spilt a large glass of coke everywhere (mostly on the child) She did say sorry and clean most of it with blue roll but my daughter had to sit there in a soaking wet top and trousers throughout the meal. Not being funny but an offer of a hot drink for her wouldn't have gone a miss . When I was a Catering Manager that would have been the least we would have done Restaurant is looking quite dull and the Staff look though they have been on the "fed up tablets". I think the Manager needs to motivate the Staff a little - think the saying in the Catering Trade is -Happy Staff, Satisfied Customers !!!!!

The crooked house is a grade 2 listed building. The slopes to the one side due to subsidence caused by coal mining in the area. The pub serves a selection of real ale and the large conservatory added serves hot pub food.

The Meadow Lark

Dibdale Rd, Dudley DY1 2RR, UK – 01384 451911

James and other staff we had dealings were outstanding on Customer Service skills showing an up beat attitude and a tremendous warm hospitality you just want to go back for.. and will do. Least it being said the food was excellent.. a warm a grateful thankyou xxx

Nice looking pub with a good menu but unfortunately there was a 50 minute wait on food so we had to go elsewhere (which was a little strange as it wasn't overly busy)

Hilly House

142 Himley Rd, Dudley DY1 2QH, UK – 01384 253717

Nice pub with nice atmosphere barmaids like their mobile phones too much instead of serving!

Great good great staff pleasant atmosphere

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
