This used to be a great place for family fun. However the last few times have been ruined by food not being served. The animals have gone and there is a lack of atmosphere . Hoping it's just a run of bad form and it returns to the epic pub I have known it to be.
The place was a little tricky finding, especially via the quarry - the sign was partially hidden. We had a bar lunch which was beautifully fresh and well presented. The staff who attended to us were very friendly. We'll worth the visit.

A unique own brand brewed craft bitter called Bathams, which is really palatable. Very pleasent staff and surroundings with two good outside seating facilities. Accommodation is available.
Bathams Pubs are always great and this place is no exception. Please note their Bitter is STRONG
